Thanjk you.

People read too much into these post match interviews.
Gerrard ha just finished a tough ninety minutes. You can't expect him to be at his most thoughtful, diplomatic or eloquent when someone thrusts a microphone under his nose.
He's had plenty of opportunitities to back Rafa and has made a point not doing so.
He was always coming out in support of Houiller, Mclaren, Sven but not Rafa.
For sure, but by refusing to back Rafa he is just making the whole media frenzy around the club worse.
Yep...he did the same last time round, twice now he's refused to say anything even vaguely supportive of Rafa, which leads me to think there's more to it than meets the eye. Plus he deliberately said 'we shouldn't be singling any one person (ie Rafa) out for praise, it was a team effort' which wasn't even what the reporter was suggesting...
"the correct decision would have been a penalty for us a red card for Gattuso and a yellow for Stevie"
LF Clove aka AFII 11/10/07
"i personally hold you and several other gob****es responsible for the chaos this club is in"

thought that was bizarre myself. but that's just what being a manager is all about i guess. it's the team that is brilliant if we win, it's the manager's fault if we lose
in gerrards book you can tell rafa's approach (keeping his distance from the players) confuses him. he's used to managers coddling him and telling him he's the bees knees. doesn't take an insider to know he ain't going to get that from rafa. correct me if i'm wrong, memory is fuzzy, but didn't he nearly leave after we won the CL because he didn't feel wanted? as a result of the contract not being offered to him when he wanted- despite putting it off himself for the entire season?

SG needs to grow up and say whats right for the team. So obviously sulking in post match interviews does no one any good and creates more and more uncertainty around us. He thinks he's been smart but he's just undermining us.
For a liverpool captain to consistently refuse to back his manager is just unheard of
