It's A Funny Old Game Eh?

16:45 Saturday I was ****ing depressed. Whilst I didn't go to the extremes some did on here (calling for Rafa's* head etc), I still felt something was seriously wrong at our club.

Fast forward a few days. We are playing the Italian champions. Top of their league, unbeaten in 5 months etc. Not only do we beat them 2-0, we made them look absolute ****. And now I'm exstatic.

I just wish there was more of a leveled reaction on here. I don't really have a point TBH, it's just odd how it goes from one extreme to the other, both on here, and in our performances.

What a great club we support eh!

    Meh I'm pissed

*I'm not saying they aren't entitled to their opinion, or are neccasarily wrong

This season has just been mental. At least supporting Liverpool is never dull.
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
    Mine angry and defrauded young?

Yeah, being the Scum fan must be boring. Winning all the time. They must get bored.

It used to be. We always won. Everything. Almost. All the time. For years on end. It's certainly mental now.

Bring back that...dullness, that certainty, that confidence, that invincibility ...AND NUMBER 19!

Ooops, if I'm shouting, it's bedtime...

Through the thick and thin, it's a measure of character.

                  Good post Reecy.

And it would be boring if people had the same views anyway, so debates are really good unless it turns into a pissing contest of almighty proportions.

As for the result and the season as a whole, well I've always thought that Rafa is bringing us to another level and that we're improving. By trying to analyze our perfs and our league position, we're seeing things that maybe flaws the general picture.

The tactical organization, the passing and the patience we showed last night was top class and bears the hallmarks of a great team. We lack one or two world class attacking players to complete Rafa's puzzle because we still lack efficiency. If we give him time, he'll deliver the holy grail.

Put unneeded pressure on him and give the americans a reason to sack him, he'll be gone and we'll be starting all over again.
