Because what you've said there is that the only way LFC can be successful is to charge the highest ticket prices that the laws of supply and demand allow. Which means that the proposal being put to fans in that instance is "back DIC because they are the people who are most likely to get us success by pricing you out of the stadium."

Really speaking though, would I rather us win the league and never be allowed to get to the games, or would I rather us be 4th and be able to go.

Being honest, I'd rather go the game than not.

But if I am priced out of the game like many already are, and many more are likely to be in the near future, what do we do to remain part of the LFC community AND go to a meaningful match week in week out?

Seriously, you are right and football is continually moving away from the core fan base. I don't suppose the club cares too much when there are millions around the globe who will provide income for the club.

does the same side of you resent Gerrard and Carragher for signing 100k + a week contracts? cos thats what it all boils down to in the end.
frankly yes. and i think thats why they get far more stick from their own fans these days than players got when i was a kid because they're getting paid silly money and we're paying silly money as a result. any hint of a non trier and everyone is foaming at the mouth, and given the context rightly so.

i'm not really sure i agree that people were priced out of the game when it really was a working class sport. there may have been people locked out cos they hadn't turned up by 1pm and the kop was full but it was very affordable back then and its not now.

someone still has to explain to me how its £9 to watch bayern munich and they are a successful team nonetheless yet its £36 to watch us. there must be an answer but i've yet to hear how that can be the case.

exactly. thats what leaves a sour taste. and if i was priced out of going to the game and then we won it i'd be pig ****ing sick. that may not be what i'm meant to say but its the truth.

then again, i suppose i'll be watching the AFC's piss the NW Counties league by that point
