I tell you why!

when Rafa's blinkered formations/tactics are not working, he reverts to the strongest side in the last 15 mins & often than not, it pays off for him making Rafa out to be a tactical genius when he was deviod of ideas earlier...
Don't like slating our manager but the facts are there!...I know football is 90 mins but surely play your strongest at the start with a view to make the game safe & not rely on having to send on the calvary to get something out of the games against poorer sides as witnessed this season.

I think it is more complicated than that. I beleive Rafa doesn't think that there is one best team, he thinks that the best team is based on who we are playing. He might think that the FBs are weak and hence an outside right would be better and would hence choose pennant. Otherwise he would go for an inside right like Yossi.

That plus only wanting to play players who are 100% fit is what leads to such drastically different lines up and tactics.

Problem is the number of goals we've been scoring before the 80th minute! Its a bloody good job we have been finishing games strongly or we would be in trouble

Seriously though, there's been far too many games this year where we've only really started playing late on. And in some of them, Blackburn away springs to mind, we haven't been able to get that goal and its cost us dearly.

i think a lot of this is also due to the fact that opposing teams have had their backs to the wall as such and we eventually got the goal eventually.....particularly at anfield this has been the case if you ask me - the reason we didnt score as many late goals before this season could be due to the fact that in previous years, we'd have had the game wrapped up and all by the last 10 minutes and our better players would be taken off and saved from injury at that stage of the game....
