    Carragher's comments at times

Do you think he tries to be too honest at times?
Another thing he can come out and say we haven't been good enough etc but i'd like to think he includes himself in that when he's giving away needless penalties, nearly giving away a few more as well and not forgetting that very, very weak effort at closing down the Barnsley player's shot last week which resulted in the winning goal.
I really admire Carragher as a player and person but maybe he should look closer to home before mouthing off the press thus giving them yet more ammunition.
Just my take on it like.

If he says "we haven't been good enough" I would have thought he would be including himself.

But don't let me stop you from having a pop

Thats just silly. He is right to say we havent been good enough. And he's obviously including himself. Rafa as manager feels he has to publically back his players at all times so its the Captain/VC's role to publically berate the team when necessary

What is it with people analysing press interviews as if they are legal representations. Then people wander why we get such banalities in most of them.

Carragher is honest and frequently insightful in interviews. What more can we ask. This forum has been full of people asking the manager and players to look critically at what has happened in the league and learn from it or **** off. Yet one of them actually appears to do so they get stick.

This giving people ammunition thing is also hard to accept. It is hardly a new stick to beat us with as they are already saying we haven't been good enough in the league so it's hardly going to make a difference to our coverage other than to show fans that he (and by extension presumably others at the club) are not happy with the poor performances either.

Thought I'd heard that Cara had been to rafa to apologise to say his comments had been taken out of context and he hadn't intended or said anything critical of the team when taken in context.

But that's a less interesting story.

To be honest, sometimes I just want them all to shut up and start playing properly. These days, it seems as though not a day goes by without yet some more "candid" words from Kuyt or Carra.

How about concentrating more on not giving away a penalty every other match and scoring a few more goals, eh?
