As much as I hate to admit it we have become a 'best of the rest' team with our sights set on Champions League qualification . Any season that we didn't qualify would be a disaster. I know this might sound strange but qualifying through the back door of winning when you haven't been good enough over a season to automatically make the competition falls a little short for me.
I judge the season on the league position because that is what is important to me as a fan. As Shanks said 'this is our bread and butter. Anything else is a bonus.
Another Champions league win would certainly put a massive smile on my face and would potentially be a catalylist for next season.

To win any trophy would be considered a good season. To win the greatest club competition in the world would be a truly great season.-----------------------------------------------

we will win the champions league this season. we will also finish 4th comfortably"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.
"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

Interesting questionOriginally posted by Icon View PostWould you consider it a " good season " for us?
With all the turmoil that we have endured this season it is hard to call it a good season in many ways.
However another European Cup in the trophy cabinet has to be considered as a massive achievement , and so , yes the season would be a good one.
For any other team in England/Europe it would be the pinnacle of their dreams

but we did win it in 2005. To basically say "If we didn't win the cup, then it would have been a bad season" is ****in retarded in my opinion. Any club in the world will want to win as much trophy's as possible.Originally posted by Gazmo1 View PostHad we not have won the CL in 2005 then we would have looked upon it as a total failure.
Put it this way, if Real Madrid didn't win La Liga last season, it would have been a bad season for them. If Man Utd didn't win the Premier League last year, it would have been a bad season for them. The point is, they DID win those trophies so it turned out to be a good season for them.......

Thanks for the insult anyway! :whatever:
My opinion is that I want to win the league. Winning in Europe is fantastic and I love it. Having this opinion does not make me a retard now does it?
