He was near universally derided for his punditry and co-commentary long before he stopped. I personally quite liked his sarcastic and disinterested shtick but it clearly wasn’t what any major broadcaster would want to continue with forever.

Mark Lawrenson FINALLY Reveals Why He Was SACKED by The BBC - YouTube

Not because he's dull as **** and out of touch with the modern game then?
    That’s unwatchable.

He needs to get over himself, on a year to year contract that gets cancelled because he’s in his late 69’s has nothing to do with the BBC being woke. Maybe if he’d stayed more relevant he’d not have had any issues.

Maybe he needs to accept like the rest of us that there are no jobs for life here.

Its proper ‘old man shouts at clouds’ type defence where he throws together a number of hot topics in an attempt to seem relevant and hard done by. He needs to get a grip.

He does LFC TV and the few times I seen him he hasn't improved, still half arsed analysis.

It makes sense now why Lineker is so tanned. Clever fella, hoodwinking the woke police

Sacked him for being 65 and white but was only signing year to year contracts by then anyway. Was he not white when he was 64 or something?

Well he would be an authority on mental trauma given he has gingers within his circles.

Dropping down to Spar from Dunnes Stores must have been really traumatic.

You definitely don’t want your boxers riding up into the Clonmel area

    Nice choice.

Cashel is a lovely little town now. Been amazing growth there since the motorway was finished some years back.

Has gone from being a tiny limping along village to being a proper commuter town.

For my money other than Ballina across from Killaloe, the parts you were in are the best.

That whole Cahir-Clonmel-Kilsheelan area and surrounds.

Nice spots to eat, to have a waner, to drink, to sleep and more than a few really cool folk in the area.
