Not sticking up for Pennant but not sure he had the best of upbringings, Had the radio on last night for 5mins and he was saying his Dad took a bung from a football agent (Skye)
And he was moved from Notts county to Arsenal as a kid, Didn't have any say in it just had to get in car and drove to London.

Think he didn't have any positive role models in his life and probably lacks the intelligence to make the most from his career.

Apparently Rafa once gave him a piece of paper and asked him to write down what keeps getting him into trouble, He wrote Women in capital letters and gave it back to Rafa.

I thought his mum left when he was really yong and his dad was not the best role model.

I remember seeing him play for Arsenal youths, and I was quite jealous that he didnt play for liverpool. I thought that he was similar to Sterling at the same age. I was quite excited when we signed him, but it was clear he was not exactly committed in the way you would expect a modern footballer. Its always a shame when you see talent pissed away....
