Not sure if you saw this but Fowler stormed off to the change rooms after the Roar lost a match & the opposition coach had the suits about it. They spoke to Robbie & he said “I wasn’t hangin around to watch him celebrate with his team.“ Which is fair enough as coaches shake hands then can go & celebrate with their players imo.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Nah, i can hardly rouse myself to watch Adelaide games, let alone watch any others. The standard is abysmal.

I paid money to watch that absolute turdfest the other night against WSW and regretted it immensely. One of the worst games of football I've ever watched, only time it came to life was in the 90th minute when the VAR penalties were given. It was also 40degrees and probably even warmer under the grandstand with the roof keeping the heat in. I don't think i had anymore sweat to give by the end.

Fowler is one of my favourites so you can imagine how exciting it was when he signed. But he’s bought a bunch of ****house league one and two players who are terrible. Their attitudes look like they thought they’d come down and have it easy and can’t be bothered now they realise it’s not.

The only good thing he’s done is give the young academy players games and they’ve been the best performers this season. They won the youth league and are a good bunch of players. The last coach refused to use young players and loved his old overseas players. Two season ago he signed Massimo Maccoroni at 37! I’ve never seen a lazier player with a crap attitude.

We’ve have some weird signings in the a league. But then you see Adam La Fondre who is ripping it up here at the moment scoring for fun.

Football (proper football ) is really popular with the kids in Australia. Could be a bright future but agree the current senior league is poor.
          Another MASSIVE game

Question for the Australian guys. What do you think of Craig Foster? Seems to be like Marmite/Vegemite - liked and loathed in equal measures. I think he’s good and would certainly help develop the game in Australia (if he was given a chance)

Uggh Craig Fos**** boils my piss every time he talks with his fake wog accent. He desperately wants to be Italian.

He's an absolute ******, thinks his **** doesn't stink and that he's the oracle of attacking football, even though he was a proper carthorse of a player.

I always remember him being super negative towards us during the Rafa era too. Was always whinging about the football and how defensive we were at times.

How would he develop the game? He would have no clue what to do, he's been in broadcasting for as long as i can remember, he's all fart and no ****. He's never coached a professional side.

Just to be clear, I don't like him.

                I think he's a massive bell-end.

As long as I’ve been here it’s always been the biggest sport for kids and amateurs. It gets plenty of numbers but when AFL, league and union have the best players playing it struggles at the top level. When you are used to seeing the best in domestic leagues it’s hard to get people excited about the a league.

A combination of more money, to get even better overseas players, and using the a league as more of a development league for youngsters would help. There are more young players getting chances this season it seems but they really need to look at how to get more playing to help develop the game and stop them leaving too soon.

A lot of my Australian friends think the same. I've only been here three years, so I'm missing something

I'm considering doing some coaching qualifications so I can coach kids. It's really popular during Autumn and Winter - I always see training sessions with kids on my way back from work, and every weekend there's games (kids through to over 45s - the over 45s are usually Brits playing poorly in slow motion).

I’ve not seen a live a league match since my Gold Coast United side were disbanded. I did travel to Adelaide oval to see Liverpool v Adelaide though a few days after we played the Roar in Bne.

You should definitely coach kids. I did it for one season at the club I used to play for and it was amazing. One of the dads was in charge but didn’t really know football so he let me do most of it. It was rewarding to see these kids listen and learn. They started out playing like kids do all chasing the ball but I got them to play properly and stay in position as much as possible.

Plus at the end of training we’d play a game and I’d always join in. Built my confidence up for my own training session straight after
