Interestingly the page was updated yesterday. Fresh appeal is going out on Monday. I pray for the best.

What a sad story - has there ever been a sighting? Do they think he could still be alive?

Looking at the statement they made in October last year, I think they still hold out some hope he is still out there somewhere but traumatised/confused for whatever reason.

I have to say it's all very wierd, unforunatly I can't help feel he got drunk
And wondered into the sea. I hope that's not the case though.
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

Such a bizarre story where you can't really help but think the worst after this amount of time, but even then nothing really makes sense as had he passed away you'd have thought his body would have turned up in one way or another since then.

Best wishes go out to his family.

Remains have been found in a well near to were Steven went missing in Malia along with a disposable camera. Awful wait for the family.

Yeah they must have had year upon year without closure, who knows how many sightings or things like this only to still not know afterwards. Got to feel for them.

It a sign of how terrible the past 12 years must have been for the family for the mum to say she hopes the remains found are that of her son.
