Give him time, it'd be a bit rash to try to phase him in until at least this time next year, probably longer.

I see that but he looks good enough now - as did Rush, Fowler and Owen before him. I'd much prefer us blooding him rather than bumbling along with Kuyt and Vorinin

Kewell & Alonso.

Kewell and Alonso played well. Good that they both scored, doesnt matter that it was in the reserves, any goal is a confidence boost. Both should be included in Sundays squad against Bolton. Kewell needs to do more running at players as he did for his goal. When he stops and cuts in he makes it easy for defenders. Lets hope this is the kick start they both needed.

Apart from one mistake i thought Insua was excellent again. His turn was great but for me it was his curling and dipping crosses that stood out.

Give the lad a chance Rafa.
