The main reaon we have been ****e is the fact that we are ****e................up front. We could have been good if he paired Torres with the stick all season but any partnership that consists of 50% Kuyt or Voronin or even worse %100 means lack of goals which means ****ing draws in matches we dominate. Simple. The fact that we've lost **** all games sums this up.

Nonsense. Torres has looked far better playing with Kuyt than he has playing with Crouch. Our worst performances of the season where when Crouch and Torres were paired together - Marsielle at Anfield and away at Reading.

Jesus christ. So Kuyt is a better player now because Torres makes him look good. I'm done 'debating' with you fish. your knowledge (lack of) of the game quite frankly astounds me.

No please stop following me around the forums as I can't help myself responding to your dross and it pains me

I think Kewell should have been played behind Torres. It's his best position IMO and our best in the hole player.

His lack of pace wouldn't notice that much in that position.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

It's all about what is the best partnership, not if Crouch is better than Kuyt.

If Kuyt/Torres is better than Crouch/Torres then Kuyt/Torres should play even if Crouch is better than Kuyt.

IMO and in the opinion of most, the best partnership by miles would be Crouch and Torres if they were ever given the chance. Loads of goals in that for Torres through the assists/flicks/knock downs from crouchy. Also Crouchy would actually score himself unlike Kuyt.

Any idea how many assists Kuyt has this season? I doubt it's many. IMO, he offers **** all to us and has to go.

Crouch three assists and Kuyt two, in the league.

Aye and how many minutes has each played? I dare say, Kuyt's playing time is about 7:1 over crouch. More even. and he has a whopping 2 assists and **** all goals from open play... Chelsea, Arsenal and UTD all have at least 2 top strikers who know where the net is and we don't. That's the main reason we are where we are IMO

Kuyt's main priority is to open up space for Torres, something that he has done very good this season. That means that their partnership will be effective.

If Rafa played Crouch and Torres then the opposition would only need to play very deep to take out the threat from Crouch and he wouldn't make Torres any better. If they play deep against Kuyt and Torres then Kuyt's hard work would open up some space for Torres.

That's why Torres have scored a lot of his goals at home.

The best solution would be Kuyt/Torres at home and Crouch/Torres in the away games when the opponent will play with a higher defensive line.

The reason that Arsenal are so far ahead is that they actually perform more or less every week as a team, they back up their words, we don't.
[broken record] isn't there a possibility that they're unsure as to what to do because of position rotation (sort of...) and actual rotation and that the sterile nature of our football is demotivating when compared to the 2 teams at the top of the league? [broken record]

Why doesnt he show it on the pitch?

If he hadn't of been so dire over december/january we would of still been in with a shot.

                            Im sick of him TBH

Gerrad needs to back up what hes saying on the pitch but he has upped his game a bit lately.

I dont think Gerrad is as important to us as he once was despite what the press say and I wouldnt be against selling him in the summer if we could get a price. He is a world class player no doubt but we have a lot of quality in his position and I think there are a lot of good players around in his position that we could get for a good price is needs be.

Also I dont think he is getting any better, this season and last he was not as good as previous seasons, his passing this season has been poor.I think it would be good for him aswell to go to a team where he did not have to be the main creative spark.

I just think it will all come into place you know. We're still pretty resolute at the back, the midfield is decent.

We're still lacking that bit extra in the final third and the team need to learn to pass the ball a bit better. But next year we'll start putting the chances away.
