A Great Way to Piss Off G&T

There is an extremely popular cartoon strip in American newspapers called Tank McNamara. (www.tankmcnamara.com) It pokes fun at sports and the politics of sports in the US.

Each year Tank McNamara runs a Sports Jerk of the Year contest where readers vote for the person, connected with sports, who is the biggest jerk of the year.

All you have to do to vote is go to: http://www.gocomics.com/tankmcnamara/jerk.phtml and put the name of your 'jerk' in one box and your email in the other.

This is quite a popular thing amongst American sports fans, and gets picked up by sports columnists when the result is announced. A campaign with even a few hundred Uk emails nominating G or T (you can only nominate one person) would get noticed and would be somewhat embarassing for the yanks.

Won't have any real effect, but it would be a way of getting at them back on their own turf. i'm off to vote for Hicks myself.

If you want to make sure Hicks wins then vote loads of times with a different e-mail address.

i agree that this would be quite funny but surely we shouldnt target it all at hicks. Gillette seems to be the one who HAS caused all of the trouble and the one who is looking to get out. i am not trying to say that Hicks is an angel and i know he has been part of all of the lies but at the end of the day, if gilette sells up and hicks doesnt, do we really want to vote our owner as the biggest tosser in the magazine thing.

surely with all of the bad publicity we have at the moment this would just give all the ****e newspapers something else to take the piss out of us for.

i know he's not american and doesnt own any american sporting franchise's but VOTE FOR PARRY
