might not be such a joke to be honest. I am not going to start another debate about hicks here because we all know there is a 5000 or so page thread about the cunt, BUT look at the facts - before him and gillett took over, our biggest transfers were Cisse for 14m (not worth ****in 4m but that is another argument!!!) and Heskey for 11m (another pile of ****e apart from his first season - although to be honest, i would have liked emile to have a season under rafa - who knows!!!!)

the point i am making is basically, we have signed two players in the space of 6 months that we wouldn't have previously been able to sign. Before, realistically, we would have been able to sign maybe one 10m player a seaosn and maybe two 4-6m players. This season we have bought 3 players over 10m in Babel, Mascherano and Torres..... the balance sheet is there....what can't speak, can't lie!!!!

Good news although the timing strikes me as odd if Hicks is on the verge of going. Even if it's borrowed money it's debt on the club and therefore a chunk off the valuation. If his departure was imminent I would have expected the cunt to drag it out so that the new owners have to pay for him.
