Yes I saw that but since all the journalists and expert analysts say we're crap because of zonal marking then it must be true and the statistics must be giving a misleading view. After all, you can prove anything with facts.

Like my first paragraph last time that was a joke but thanks for pointing out my "mistake" in such a gentle way.
    .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

well let's get them to take them. Think we're much better off having playuers like Xabi and Gerrard around the edge of the box from corners to pounce on loose balls.

The only good thing about Steve taking them is when he gets the ovation from the crowd when he runs to the corner. And that's only at Anfield. So really dont understand why he takes them.

Alonso, Aurelio, Garcia, Agger should ALL be ahead of stevey in the queue for dead balls. It really is that simple.
Steve Finnan should be taking corners.

He takes them exactly the same way Gary Mac did.

Agree 100%. I go apoplectic every time I see yet another Gerrard corner headed away by the first defender. For a £100K a week I expect him to have noticed by now and aimed a little higher

In fact i'm sure if you look at other statistics, 75% of his corners don't get past the first defender!
I think you'll find it 95%. The other 5% the goalie catches unchallenged in the middle of the 6 yard box. Anyway I'm glad it's not just me he's driving mad
