The West Ham match is a consequence of the CL rearrangements. CL fixtures always take precedence.

Maicon's not injured, is he? They could shift him or Zanetti inside to play CB.

Depending on who the other CB is then its still not a bad back four to be fair. They were extremely organised at the back in the first leg, until they tired at least, so I dont expect us to walk all over them.

I just hope seeing their weakened back four gives Benitez the incentive to have a go at them a bit. I really dont want us to sit back and invite them to attack us. I think they are there for the taking if we go attack and go for the away goal early on.

yeah but Maicon, Zanetti and Maxwell like to get forward are all attacking wingbacks. If one of them plays central i can see the odd error being made

Possibly, but they're not novices, they're experienced professionals who are surely capable of curbing their attacking instincts for one game.

The Colombian defender Nelson Rivas will probably come in at centre-back. Experienced, strong & physical. Not a bad reserve.

                        fair enough.

Its not really a basic rule though. How often has it ever happened in the Champions league?

"Threat" and "kuyt" in the same sentence - very amusing!

Cristian Chivu could still play against Liverpool with heavy strapping to his shoulder, but an operation is a real possibility for the Inter man.

The Romanian fell awkwardly and popped his left shoulder out of joint during the 1-0 defeat to Napoli on Sunday evening.

This is not the first time he has suffered from shoulder problems and he could decide to go ahead and face the Reds on March 11 with the aid of special strapping.

Inter need Chivu to recover, as they must overturn the 2-0 first leg defeat with a decimated defence and midfield.

Walter Samuel, Ivan Cordoba and Olivier Dacourt are out for the rest of the season, while Cesar Aparecido and Maxwell are injury doubts.

On top of the packed treatment room, Marco Materazzi is suspended following his dismissal at Anfield, so choices in defence are limited.

Yet it is a risk Chivu might not be willing to take, as this is a recurring shoulder issue and damaging it further could force surgery.

If he does go under the knife, it would take two months to recover and the Romanian captain would risk missing out on Euro 2008.

wasnt aware that Maxwell was also an injury doubt.
