It would be no great loss to him. For every one that drops off there are thousands willing to take their place. Hicks loses nothing.

he loses nothing but I have lost my club to this unscrupulous *******. He's holding us to ransom for a higher price or to inflate the value of his business empire for a later IPO on the stock market.

We will lose under this guy and that 19th league title is further away than ever. I cant see us in this state it too painful.

He will rely on fan loyalty and apathy

Unless there is a total boycott by all the fans he's going nowhere, lets be honest.... a boycott would never happen and he knows it

Can you imagine the state of Anfield if all of those that go give up their season tickets? The out of town debate would go through the roof because the day trippers would come out in numbers. And, what would Hicks get? Exactly what he wants. A ground full of sheep who care nothing for what he is doing. And then we would be in an even worse state than we are in now.

Paying money to greedy business men - ****ing wow. Everyone does it with almost every penny they spend.

Some people's hatred of Hicks is bording on the psychotic.

The core of the support will remain. Some will go. It was the same at United.

I just don’t see the sense in complaining about Hicks ruining our club and then going ahead and ruining it ourselves by refusing to go to games any more. All we are doing, in this sense, is paving the way for the “new” support to come in and to pretty much nail Anfield’s coffin lid down. In this way, we are killing the club ourselves. We don’t support he ownership, we support the club and the team. What kind of supporters are we if we turn our back on them now?

i think you need to sit down and think about what he will do to our club. There's no chance of the stadium being built whatsoever because he doesnt have the money or the backing to do it. People say the stadium will be self funding and that is correct but what about the other £350m that the club currently owe.

who is going to pay that ? Do you think the banks are going to lend him even more money so that the overall debt reaches £600 - £700m ? with increased turnover and gross profit estimates with the new stadium reach £35-40m.

Our interest payments alone will be higher than our projected profit. Its not sustainable in the long term.

You're a sensible guy so surely you can see that he will **** us over and leave us as a shell of the club that we currently know. That's why I'm angry.

When they took over the club it was valued at around £200m; now they have received an offer for £400m in under a year.

I think he will sell and that has always been his intention. All this talk about sticking around for the long term, not talking to DIC, even securing the loan were steps to push up the selling price.

Now the offer is on the table he would be made to turn it down.

the new support coming in wont nail the coffin shut - the amount of debt that the club will have to service will.

If we dont qualify for the champions league this season - expect no significant transfers in the summer and even some players being sold to make up for the £10-£15m deficit we will experience as revenue loss from being in the UEFA cup.

Our interest payments alone for the £350 that we owe as it stands are currently at £28m. We have never made that much profit in one season so i cant see how we can pay that money back whilst not being in the CL.

Football clubs do not make money.
