Liverpool - West Ham build up

I need some distraction from these takeove matters (and work ) I wonder if Rafa will rest either Torres or Babel and go for 4-4-2 since we have Newcastle soon and then Inter.

    Reina

    Arbeloa
    Carra
    Skrtel
    Aurelio/Riise

    Pennant
    Gerrard
    Mascher/Alonso
    Benni/Kewell/Riise

    Torres
    Crouch

Take Torres off after 65 mins. and Gerrard on 70 mins. I think Hyypia will get a rest either way.

i think it would be daft to risk taking away some of the momentum we are building up and would just go for the same team with carra and skyrtel in defence. although i cant help but feel that we would create even more if ben onion was on instead of kuyt. plus it is his old team so i reckon he start anyway
    in january we were doomed.

in august we will rise from the ashes of ****e and march on again

Same team that beat Bolton thank you very much.

Let Crouchie have a kick about at half-time, and bring him on in the last 20.

Is there a football game on?

Hoping Rafa names an almost unchanged side again for this one. I would move Carra back in the centre though and get someone more attacking in like Arbeloa in at RB.

Will be delighted if we win this one. For months it has been awkward looking at the table and adding on 3 points for the game in hand. Would be great to actually get the three extra points on the board.

I think he'll make some changes now though, we should be able to beat Newcastle with our reserves and West Ham with our reserves plus Torres.

I'm actually really looking forward to the game partly because I'm going and partly because we have started to play well again. I'd like to see an unchanged team from Bolton unless Finnan was to come in and Carra move back to the middle. I would certainly keep the same attacking quartet as they linked well and have a good balance about them.

I agree, but judging by the lack of Kewell in the reserves i'd say he's pretty likely to start tomorrow with it being at home especially. Surely Torres/Gerrard etc are likely to be rested for one game before Inter, wouldn't you say? I would guess we want as much pace/tracking-back as possible against Inter, so I can see Babel being rested as well...

I don't think they will be rested - they will certainly come off if we are 2 up in the last half hour in either game.

The Kewell thing is interesting. Ideally I'd only ever use him as a second half sub - thats the role in which he has done the few good things he has done for us this season. I think you are right that we may see Babel rested especially as we have Benayoun and Kewell in the squad but I would like to see him against both of the relatively brittle defenses we play in the next two games - I'm hoping he is a sub against Reading if he is for just one of the two.

yeah that maybe the only change I'd make.
think we have to get at them early.
