Are David Moores, the Board and main ex-shareholders to blame for this mess?

After all, they were the ones who took the higher share price to make more money for themselves rather than thinking about who had the capital to take the club forward? Even though Moores would always claim he was putting the club first, from day one I have never seen it as anything other than a selfish decision.

It's that decision that has left us in this mess, lets be honest Hicks and Gillett never really had the money to take the club forward and this has been proven by their cock-up with the new stadium and their inability to back Rafa in January.

Yes they do deserve to take a lot of flak for selling up to these two because they obviously didn't have the funds there to set out what they said they was going to do.

from what I have read, Parry was pro DIC until a last minute switch, does make me wonder how short a future he will have once DIC come in.
I do think Moores et al are culpable for the current situation, so they took a few extra million quid and promised us the club was going to be in the right hands.

The buck stops with Moores. He was the man at the top. He employed Parry and then asked him to find investment.

Obviously was still a low sell price given the profit beeing offered to the americans. We were calling for moores to leave and the Yanks seemed better than the human rights disrespecting Dubai bunch at the time.

The fault lies with Parry and thereforesomewhat indirectly with Moores too, but if we had sung for Parry's head as loudly as we'd sung for Moores to sell we wouldn't be in this mess.

                  I blame the fickle fans!

At the end of the day the final say went to Moores he sold his shares to the yanks he backed out on a deal with DIC.

Parry is to blame as well but at the end of the day he did his job in securing new owners for Liverpool Football Club.

It's all very well Moores being a big Liverpool fan but unless this mess is sorted out he'll go down as the chairman that sold Liverpool to the anti christ.

Blame fickle fans all you want, I was a massive Moores fan when he was chairman but ultimately it's his choice who he sold Liverpool to and he has picked the wrong people.

Out of the two options on the table at the time, there's no clear winner IMO. Sure we're pissed at the yanks now, we'll be pissed at DIC when prices double and the prawn sandwiches come out etc.

On amassive tangent - Perhaps these should be moved to another thread
Abu Ghraib - Big story here, status quo for the region, horrendus stuff, but day to day reality in the middle east for any prison. Similar with Guantanamo. Where there are a few hundred people being abused, i dont support it but don't use that as some indication that the USA has less respect for human right than Dubai !! There's also no reason to personnaly imply anything about H&G because of this, whereas DIC is the Dubai ruling monarchy.

It's Moores because he didn't sack Parry years ago. Everyone could see what big business mistakes he did.

The stadium, merchandise, not good enough sponsorship deals and so on.

Parry is a **** CEO, and Moores a **** businessman.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
