Your right, but City could have been another 3 pts easily added to those 4 home games, the way we played, should have been a win.

But at home...i know what you mean there, the usual Fortress Anfield would have yielded many more points this season, thank god for our Away form eh.

But on those 4 home games...Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!

I know every team can say about games they should've won, but we're talking about some seriously fecking fine margins...

I've had my doubts about you, but fair's fair - you're not actually clueless...

You got yours in, on the 'obnoxious' comment in the other thread - this is my turn

that has nothing to do with it mate. He doesnt rotate his main men. Its only Yossi, Babel, Pennant and the full backs that have been rotated really.

...and the full backs were due to injury most of the time.

If we hadn't of had Agger and Alonso out for so long we would be alot closer

A bit more luck away to West Ham and Chelsea nad we'd have been 5 points better off............

Fine margins indeed, but they always say that where you finish in the prem is where you deserve to finish. I've said all along we'll finish top 4, but had this sudden rise in form not come we could have been struggling for top 6!

Can always go either way, but form is temporary and class is permanent. Dream on Moyes and Jagielka with ya ****e mind games.

Newcastle and Reading at home is our next two home games. I expect 6 points.

Sami did well, but we really missed a fast central defender. Had we got Skrtel in the summer, or Agger not got injured we would have a better points total. How much better I don't know.

We really have been touch and go between being a great side and an average side this year. One game it's poor finishing the next ****e defending.

The ability to play with a higher line is so crucial.

Rafa shouldn't have laid all his basket into Heinze in that case. Always have a number two target especially when going for a key position like a centre back.

Exactly my point. Forces teams back as it allows our midfield to strangle the life out the game. Our full backs were like wingers tonight due to this high line, it was great to watch.

I've only seen the hour long highlights on Sky, but we looked quality. A couple of errors at the back, but that aside, we looked full of confidence.

Not to mention, when we have to play deeper, we see more hoof-ball as the defensive line is more isolated from the midfield.

Can't argue with that. Glad we failed with Heinze though after seeing Skrtel play. He's been outstanding.

I tell ya, him and Agger are gonna give Carra a run for his money next season, never mind Sami!
