That's a massive misconception though. Moores was sanctioning use of the club's money, not constantly ploughing his own cash in. The people who owned one share in the club didn't get a letter every time a transfer was made saying 'eh, stump up your bit of the fee'. That's not how it works.

The whole point is to have a club profitable enough to sustain itself, not find a sugar daddy that can buy us titles. In a supporter ownership scheme there would have to be enough starting capital to pay for the club and get going on the stadium. Once we're in the new stadium the club would be able to afford bigger budgets without any outside cash injections. Until then, or even beyond then, 'subscriptions' would provide a regular top up of the clubs funds.

cheers for that, as i'm not a supporter of this supporters buying the club scheme proposal i've never even bothered to find out how it would actually work.

got to say though that i generally don't care too much who owns the club so long as it's run in a professional and liverpool way and with no need to worry over the financial future of my club.

I can't view many LFC & football sites at work so it served me well.

Apparently I was locked out for continuous sarcasm and being pedantic. No specific incident, just got locked out one day. Since I left I've realised that it's much more relaxing in terms of supporting Liverpool. Lots of topics get over inflated and make you get more worked up by trivial events.

the only thing i thank hicks for is the new stadium designs that got approved, the intende stadium before they took control looked just like the reebok and many other stadiums but this new one is different gravy

i still remember seeing 2 fuzzy mobly phone pics and thinking **** that looks stunning.
