..or talking about a fit Michael Owen is like talking about a "great" Salif Diao.
Just when I discovered the meaning of life, they changed it

If he ever gets 100% fit, like a shot. Bellamy, Crouch and Fowler wouldn't know which way to look.

A fit Owen at his best would be perfect for us. Alas, so would a fit Ian Rush at his best, or a Ray Kennedy in his prime. Pure fantasy as he will likely remains injury prone for the remainder of his career and will never be as good as he promised to be. IMO.

            Agree with that
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
            Mine angry and defrauded young?

To be honest mate I think Owen has been in decline for about 4 yrs now. He will recover from his knee injury and will play but i can not see him scaling the heights he once did. He has lost that super pace he had and does not have many other tricks in the bag to make up for it.

I wouldnt take Owen back at all. Fat or fit!
Well, exactly the same comments could be made about Fowler and people still fawn over him when he's clearly past it.
