We will only have financial stability when DIC achieve a majority shareholding. Until then they will use any instability (caused by a normal course of events or engineered by themselves) to gain the majority they are looking for, they will be constantly probing all avenues to wrestle the club from Hick`s grasp.

We are still in for some very turbulent times. Anyone who thinks otherwise has their head stuck up their arse!

          Agreed

If I were DIC I'd be making sure the club runs at a loss, to force Hicks into servicing his share of the debt himself

One major play is the stadium, Hicks needs that to entrench his position but its what will actually make or break him

Again IF I were DIC I'd be taking on my share of the stadium, and encouraging Hicks to fund it himself (through more loans), no way would I let him put the debt on the club. If he hasnt gone by the time the stadium is built I'd be again ensuring the club isnt running at a profit so he has to service the debts himself

Assuming DIC only acquire the 49% and dont persuade Hicks to join in the sell off then this whole thing will imo become a debt to equity ploy by DIC, it wont happen quickly it will be a long term objective

Does this mean buying really expensive players like Aguero and Diego? lol

Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Thats amazing to see him so comfortable walking around by himself, and driving by himself. Just shows how much respect he has from his people.

Could it be that DIC has made an agreement with Hicks to buy his share also, but for a higher price than Gillette`s share, but need to keep it a secret until the Gillette deal is finished?

How could those knuckleheads have ever thought the club would be better off with Hicks and Gillette? Please let this happen.

I like him. Cheers AFII. He comes across different to what i expected, He has a stern look about him, but that didn't come across at all, (although i'm sure he can be harsh when the need arises), When the interviewer said some of his team, who he wont name, thought he was CRAZY to ask for certain things they thought impossible to achieve, i thought that'll go down well, but he had a humorous answer, took it all in his stride.

Now for all those who'll say 'he was doing an interview, what do we expect', i do realise that, but i for one am pleasantly surprised by his whole persona.

Sadly this was a case of counting unhatched chickens.

Am pretty sure years ago I saw "Welcome, Thierry Henry" threads also.
