DIC will keep Hicks' pea brain focussed more on LFC as he knows they want to run the club on their own. We should hopefully see things moving on a lot quicker now with DIC conducting a full scale review of the club from the structure of the Board to the tea lady. Rafa will get his first choice targets without anymore dicking around (pardon the pun) and fighting in public.

i'm sure its just a case of hicks not being able to go public about selling his shares in lfc because it might affect his restructuring of his sports group.Originally posted by Sarb24 View PostThe Independent has a quote from Amanda saying Hicks knows DIC will eventually own 100%. Very significant quote for me that is. If DIC get in I'm happy they'll be getting 100% soon
as you say, amandas comments are good enough for me. maybe dic/hicks have already reached an agreement on price but because of the above cant go public until tom has got his other affairs in order

Would the partnership be that disasterous? We really don't know the truth with regards to who out of the Americans is worse. And to be fair, they have delivered £50m+ on 3 players which could never have happend before.Yea,i know it is loans, but all football clubs use loans.
Could we benifit from both of them if they could find a way of working together.DIC to promote us and invest in us in the Asian market and Hicks in the States.
I would prefer DIC to get total control but seeing as thats unlikely at the moment, isn't there any positives that can come from the partnership?-----------------------------------------------

i've been thinking long and hard over this.
Perhaps Hicks DOES want to do well at Liverpool. He sees Gillett as a stumbling block in my opinion and could it be Hicks played a good game by unsettling things and getting rid of Gillett. There was talk of Gillett approaching Klinsmann yet Hicks got the blame for it.
Seems to me Gillett just ran away and hid while it all went on.
I think maybe DIC can be good as Carlton said up top, they will be more focused on the club and will strive for perfection on and off the pitch PLUS there will be a couple of reds on the board.
I'm willing to sit back now and watch this unfold."What's your favourite Beatles album then?"
"I think I'd have to say....Best of the Beatles"

Is Hicks really out to ruin us?I really can't see that being the case. Not in his best interest for Liverpool to be unsuccesful.-----------------------------------------------

There's a huge distance between ruining us and "winning is not important - brand loyalty is all that matters" and we've all read, heard and seen evidence of how he's run his other teams into the ground with high incomes but as little expenditure as possible.Originally posted by kop-al-74 View PostIs Hicks really out to ruin us?I really can't see that being the case. Not in his best interest for Liverpool to be unsuccesful.
Then there's the absolute rape of corinthians. Don't lose sight of what this cunt has done to other teams, and if his first 13 months here are anything to go by, what he would have done to us.
DIC get a sniff of the club and suddenly Hicks isn't a cunt anymore. Well sorry - he's a horrible ****ing cunt.Last edited by jrd7; 08-03-08, 09:36 AM.Gillett and Hicks are cunts

I wouldn't be popping the champagne corks just yet.DIC thought they had a deal last year and we all know how that went.Hicks has already said there are a number of other people who could become minority shareholders and DIC aren't the only option.Lets just wait till the ink is dry on the signatures.

He may well be.The point i'm trying to make is that it looks as though the DIC/Hicks partnership is on the cards for the immediate future.
Couldn't there be any positives in that?
With DIC's foot in the door,Hick's won't beable to do a Corinthians.-----------------------------------------------

I just reminded people what was out there. Without DIC I think we'd be in a world of trouble, that doesn't mean forgive, forget and move on though for that ****. Mediocrity is ok for this arsehole and we need to up the pressure on this idiot, not back down.
