The old adage of only beating whats in front of you is never truer in games like this.
I thought it was going to be one of them games where we dont score in the first 20 minutes and rapidly run out of ideas against a 10 man defence.
The fluke saved us from that.
The second goal should be a contender for goal of the season - top class.
The third goal was exceptional too.
Good all round victory that was expected.
Riise and Pennant were shocking.
Skrtel is getting better by the week.
Nothing to add about Torres and Gerrard, they are top class players who take us to another level when on form, simple as that.If you've lost your faith in love and music the end won't be long

Thing is mid season we were playing teams worse then Newcastle, getting the lead and then playing the most woeful, dire football and letting the team back into the game. Newcastle was different. They didn't let up when they got the lead, nor when Torres and Gerrard were taken off. The team is showing a lot more steel than they were a month or so back."That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.
Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

Gerrard and Torres look awesome in this formation. They just click together, and teams cannot handle them.
Newcastle were complete ****e, but we did the job nicely.
Thought Xabi ran the show well, he is looking better and better
Lucas played some delightful little balls for our wide players, if they were both a tad quicker they would of been able to make the most of them. Lucas tired substantially at the end though, he looked knackered.
Skrtel is looking a great signing. Im very pleased to see that he never hoofs it unless he has too.
Riise is still crap IMO. Everytime the attack goes to him he stuffs it up. He had a nice shot though....probably cracked taylors rib with that one
Pennant and Yossi weren't bad, but we need better to become truely dominant.
That is all
"When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah
"looking through your posts since 2007 and what you have consistently written about my football team I have come to the conclusion that if you had 1 more brain cell you would be a plant .. your father was a hamster and your mother smells of elder berries, I fart in your general direction ..." Nicey

It's great to be on a good run of form and wins. We've had some rocky patches this season but it's all coming together now. With affairs getting sorted off the pitch and Rafa riding out the storm from thos who want rid, I can't wait for next season and the assault on the Prem. I truly believe we have a manager who can deliver everything to us........Europe and domestically. Too many people are quick to write off a manager who is still cutting his teeth in the Prem, still learning. I bet Rafa learns so much about his team and his methods/tactics this year and I bet he comes back better and wiser for it. I still can't believe some people won't accept this and want him gone. To those who do, do you still think he's lost the dressing room? Doesn't look like it to me.Bring Back Rafa Cakes

I guess the decision to play the best players game in game out has provided stability and continuity, we really have a fantastic group of talented young players who will only get better and better overtime. Once we get top draw replacements for riise and pennant and another creative forward/attacking mid w're going to be hard to beat.Originally posted by RedProf View PostIt's great to be on a good run of form and wins. Only the greatest and the best can play such a match.

3rd is a realistic target i think, chelsea could be about to have a bad spell, gooners may **** it up with the kids not taking the presure that well.Originally posted by Ben Tover View Post

The goal was lucky, but we shouldve had a pen about 3 mins before.3rd place. Worst champions ever.

I'd go along with thatOriginally posted by Ben Tover View PostIdeal scenario would be the Scum won nothing, we win the CL and the gooners win the title.
That would be the best season ever besides if we were to win the title obviously
I notice Arsenal are now on 66 and Utd on 64 with a game in hand. I so do hope Arsenal can just hold them off.

i reckon we have to beat manure at old trafford and the arse can go do the same if they are to win the title. manure have a lot easier run in than arsenal.Originally posted by Levi View PostI'd go along with that

We're confident, they have keeper issues... for once I'm looking forward to playing them
