Saw his name in a couple of man of the match lists today. I read that he lost the ball once or twice, but he has seemed to make continued progress since the Havant game. Can he be as good as Agger? What different attributes does he bring?

Saw his name in a couple of man of the match lists today. I read that he lost the ball once or twice, but he has seemed to make continued progress since the Havant game. Can he be as good as Agger? What different attributes does he bring?

Having watched him in a couple of games he does look solid, can tackle and he has pace. What i would love from him is move forward with the ball from defence as what agger does.

Hopefully come next season he can get use to the pace of the premiership and a full pre season behind him. To me he looks solid he is still young playing along class defenders so he will eventually learn and adapt well.

Looks a good buy to me and not forgetting he is only 23. Future looks bright

I think he has adapted to english football even quicker than agger. Hopefully over time he will be as good as him. Thats our centre halfs sorted for the next 10 years!!

moving forward today he looked really composed, and i thought that with toon bein so crap him and carra popped up (skrtel mainly) at wing back type positions when our fullbacks were already forward

certainly his pace and his control of the ball, not forgetting bein a huge lump, all attributes to be a good piece of business

Skrtel does look very good. Early days to be dismissing Carra though, Skrtel's only played a handful of games.
