    This is Anfield

I was interested today to note that Keegan did not touch the 'This is Anfield' sign.

I remember when Souey was a visiting manager he walked down the tunnel at the same time as Pongolle (Pongolle was playing for us at the time). Souey touched the sign and Pongolle didn't.

Souey = Legend (in spite of The Sun nonsense)

    KK disappointed me somewhat today.
    Souey > Keegan
"Sir, it's me sir. Jennings sir."

Not touching the sign > giving an interview to "that" paper.

edit - apols, I hadn't noticed that you had referenced the interview in your post. Still think my equation beats yours tho'

(That said, if anyone were to touch the sign, would have been sure it would have been Keggy)

I have considered this incident some 16 years ago. He has apologised for that admitting he made a serious error. If, instead of doing that he had murdered Ian Rush then he would have done his time and been a free man today.

He was wrong, seriously wrong. He has admitted that however and I think he deserves a second chance, even if it was only for his achievements as a player for us.

Don't disagree, however in the context of the greater wrong it's a bigger gaffe than not touching the sign.

And like another poster said, he IS short.

Is it me or is Keegan more closer to Newcastle than Liverpool?

and that's a fair point but I am sure that in 16 years people won't be saying that keegan is out of order for not touching the sign in 2008!!! ANd yes he is short.

However, as an add on to the debate, I don't think Keegan has a lot of feeling for us, whereas Souness is still a fan.

What? Its a genuine question. I think he associates himself more to the Geordie faithful than Liverpool.
