    Striker for next season

I think we will be in the market for a new striker next season and with DIC looking like they will be onboard which could mean a bigger transfer kitty. Which striker would you like to see at Anfield next season to partner Torres upfront? I myself wouldn't mind seeing any one of these.

    Eto'o
    diego milito
    Drogba

    Diego or Aguero.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

As good as he is wouldn't want him playing for us.

I'm not so sure we will. I think we might go for a Babel type player for the other wing and a player to be an understudy to Gerrrad in the attacking midfielder role. Rafas recent comments about Babel and the talk of a new contract for Crouch make me think the striking options might all come from within the squad (possibly including Nemeth) next year.

Eto'o is a fixture at Barca id say, Ronnie or Henry are more likely targets.
Dogbreath can **** off, Milito I know nothing of, personally its Henry, Villa, Aguero (unlikely as that is) or Berbatov for me.

I doubt that Crouch will sign a new deal if you consider that he is playing very games from the start.

That situation won't change next season, it will get even worse with Nemeth coming through, probably a new striker signed up and Babel used more and more as a striker.

Like dww says i think Rafa would move for an attacking midfield type player for the 4231 rather than an out and out striker type.

if we are playing at championship manager ideas then i'd say go for Ronaldinho, a front 4 of Ronnie, Gerrard and Babel playing behind Torres would cause a few problems for defenders

with the added bonus of Ronaldinho fitting easily into the best midfield in the world song

Otherwise Rafa may move for someone Like Joe Cole to play there as he knows he won't need time adapt to the league.

and we could always get Owen for a couple of Million to play about 10 games a season whilst Torres has a rest.

I think he realises that he will not go to a big club again and is willing to give it a go. He seems much more at ease with the situation than he was earlier in teh season. He might ask for a reasonable fee to be set in the contract for the end of next season but I think he would stay if asked.

Not sure about that matey. Bascombe said in today's NOTW that Crouch is refusing to sign a new deal unless Rafa leaves the club.

I don't think buying another out and out striker is necessary with the 4231 formation.

If available , I would like us to sign Ronaldinho , and then play the following formation.

                          ----------------Torres---------------

                          Babel-------- Gerrard-------Ronnie

                          -------Masher---------Xabi---------

With Babel, Gerrard and Ronaldinho having the freedom to interchange as they need during the game it would be difficult for defences to mark/contain them.

With some of Crouch, Kuyt, Lucas, Benayoun, Nemeth, Hammil , Anderson to choose from as squad players we would have enough strength in depth.

Does he think another manager is more likely to pick him ahead of Torres?
                            Really?
