He is the classic example of someone who was a victim of his own early promise. Looked so good, so sharp at the start. Looked a real bit of business. Then, sadly, he showed us exactly why he was free.

You get what you pay for in this world. Sadly, Voronin proves that. A good squad player, something to use as a last resort but, at almost 29 I doubt he’ll stand for that.

I'm still shocked that we signed him.

I thought he looked good to begin with. Thought, what a find! Then it all changed. I actually feel sorry for him.

            Injured mate

Think he's training again so he should be back in the next few weeks

I'd be surprised if we see him in a red shirt again tbh

Because in the current formation it would be difficult to incorporate him and even if he can be incorporated there are other players ahead of him in the pecking order.
                  We come not to play.

voronin, crouch and kuyt could all be sold and replaced with one striker that can play as a support striker behind torres and upfront on his own when torres is rested or injured. Not sure if such a striker exists tbh.

I would then bring in Nemeth into the first team and cultivate babel to develop the game intelligence to play as a striker in a 442 or 4231.

Voronin was a free experiment that has failed. Of kuyt, Crouch and Voronin i would get rid of him first.

The more I see him play in the role he is now the more I think it would be a huge mistake to sell Kuyt. I think part of the problem in recent years has been that we have tried to evolve both system and personnel at the same time. I would like to be able to start next season with the strongest team from this season and I feel that includes Kuyt.

What Imy said really, he's injured so best case scenario is what? Another 3/4 weeks before he's ready for first team duty, if so he's got back 4 weeks left before the end of the season, and I doubt he'll be taking the central striking position, so that leaves left or right, and I'd have him as 3rd choice in both positions. I don't think he'll be here for the start of next season either.

Currently Kuyt has given himself a stay of execution and I wouldn't be looking to sell him now, as long as we stick with 4231. He has a role to play in the future

I wouldn't be averse to keeping him, for a few reasons.
                              • We wouldn't get much for him
                              • He's improved in the last month or so and represents a solid squad option, in a utility kinda way
                              • We don't want too much upheaval and there are people ahead of him the queue at the exit door

I wouldn't want him to be in the starting XI on day one next season - we need better - but I don't mind him staying.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I have to say that this would be an altogether better place if more people adopted a bullet-point approach to posting.
