I think he will eventually because he's our best all round defender.Originally posted by Marky View PostI don't see how Agger will get back in tbh."My commitment to Liverpool is 100 per cent. Over the next 12 months Carra could lose his spot IMO. He will play CL games though for a couple of years at least. Sorry but it could happen, IMO. He will still play plenty of games yet.Originally posted by Marky View PostI don't see how Agger will get back in tbh.Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

The way Skrtel and Torres have settled in this season makes a mockery of the old chestnut that foreign players need a full season to adapt to the Premier League.
Yes, people are different and all that, and the likes of Henry took time to settle but maybe it's their mental approach to adaptation that is different. If your manager is telling you you have 40 odd games before he will begin to assess your importance to the team, perhaps that tells the player that they can ease into the style of playing by not giving their all from day one.

Really depends on what kind of player they are and mentality, for every Torres there are 5 Baptista's who just wont cut it in there first season over here (or ever). Really surprised just how well Torres took to the rough and tumble of the English game, think the game against Reading in the Carling cup proved to me Torres wouldnt be a softy.Originally posted by glynner View PostThe way Skrtel and Torres have settled in this season makes a mockery of the old chestnut that foreign players need a full season to adapt to the Premier League.

I think Torres is extremely hungry, just took it all on himself at AM and was'nt ready.Originally posted by Woobus View PostReally depends on what kind of player they are and mentality, for every Torres there are 5 Baptista's who just wont cut it in there first season over here (or ever). Im not get too carried away - hes made a few errors so far that could have cost us. Generally though im just very glad that he seems to have all the raw materials required - hes big, fast, tough, composed on the ball and likes to stride out of defence with the ball. Agger safely looks a better player to me but he also looks like a good buy at 6 million ish.
