Not jumping on you at all, but Elisha Scott on YNWA (who is supposed to be mates with Gerrard and is usually spot on about squad matters) said that this was bollocks and that Agger was just incredibly frustrated at being injured for so long, and was desperate to play again.

I would suggest everyone listen to ES as he is normally spot on when it comes to matters like these.

For me if Agger needs an Op he should have it, cos he is a big part of our future. No ****ing about like we did with Harry. Get him right and bring him back fully fit.

Quite. Barring unforseen circumstances, Carra, Hyypia and Skittles should be enough to see us through til the end of the season.

I remember reading somewhere else that it is something to do with the metatarsal he's broken not being the usual one that footballers break. The article said that the injury he's got is very difficult to heal and often ends the career of ballet dancers or something.

I fractured a carpal bone in my wrist and that could have been nasty. I'm not sure if Agger's injury is a complicated but some of those small bones have big jobs!

On the back of the draw today, I would have felt far more comfortable with Agger available to us.

After all, he kept Drogba in his pocket and scored the goal that got us through in last years campaign.

Bloody sad news this, such a promising player, already fulfilling some of it too, & in a very important position as well. I've not read all the posts yet, or the full story, but i take it being out for the season wasn't followed by a prognosis of 'Could miss some of next season or worse also'

He's made how many tentative comebacks now, complete with modified boots to aid him, but still no joy it seems, same injury i take it. Annoying, & as you say badly missed, especially for Arsenal 3 games on the trot.

Yeah thats the only thing thats confused me, hes played a few ressie matches without problems so appeared to on the mend. Not sure if there has been a setback or they are just being ultra careful. Dont let common sense stand in the way of a good conspiracy theory though......

Crackoff aside I really do believe that. I'd still like to see if Rafa goes back for Garay.
