Taking into account Arsenal's freefall in the league since Eduardo's injury, it's hard for me to see United not winning the league unless we slow their momentum next week. I'm not too optimistic about it, seeing as no Liverpool player has scored against United in the league during Rafa's tenure as manager. But if we don't, I don't see anyone else taking points off them between now and the end of the season besides Chelsea and, perhaps, Boro.
I think Arsenal are done...they've got to go to Stamford Bridge next week, then two weeks later play us 3 times in 7 days, and then go to Old Trafford four days after that. That's an awful run of games to go into, considering their current form.
Chelsea, in my opinion, are the only side capable of overtaking the Scum, as their only remaining games against "big four" opponents are at home. And I'd rather take the punch in the stomach of Chelsea winning the league than the kick in the balls that would be United celebrating number 17.
The Scum are far too close for comfort in terms of matching our 18 league titles. People talk about Fergie wanting another Champions' League title before he retires, but I believe that what he'd love even more would be to retire after United win number 19. A win for us at OT next week would be a vital step towards making sure that doesn't happen.
