I am genuinely hopeful, I have learnt my lesson over recent years about being too bullish regarding this fixture. A few things are for sure, we are playing as well as we have been for a very long time, we have that edge we have been looking for in our games, when we play I feel like we can beat anyone these days, this new formation works and creates goals, Torres and Stevie are terrifying defenses up and down the land.

If United lose to Bolton on Weds who are in the Dropzone for the first time then this is going to be one cracking match .. I cant wait

I don't agree with you. Look at what we did in Milan.

Our biggest problem playing Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea is a mental one.
        I agree.

          Did he score against them?

Anyway, Sunday's game is massive no matter what. It all depends on our mentality. Do we go and play our game or play to stop them? Rafa does have a tendency to stop teams who are 'bigger' than us and doesn't focus on our strengths and play to them. I am actually going to back Hicks when he said we play with an inferior complex playing the top sides in the Prem. Rafa needs to get the side to believe that they can win against them on Sunday and we might(I am clutching at straws) have a chance of winning the title. Saying that, I think we will lose at the toilet.

            ???

We went there to defend and hit on the counter...and we did. And it was the right approach, given that we had a 2-0 lead.

OT starts at 0-0, so obviously different.

If you think our approach in Milan was an attacking one, we have very different ideas of what an attacking approach is.

" Fergie storming mad as El-Nino destroys windless Utd at OT..."

Got a good feeling we will win this one, give our lads a really good boost for the remainder of the season. Plus we always play well against them and lose at the last hurdle to some freak/lucky goal.

                Torres injury wait - http://www.eatsleepsport.com/articles/706675.html

Rafa Benitez is keeping his fingers crossed that Fernando Torres suffers no reaction to his foot injury picked up at the weekend.

Liverpool face Manchester United on Easter Sunday, whilst Arsenal take on Chelsea on the same day, and Benitez is anxious that his top striker is fit for the game.

Torres picked up a foot injury in the first half against Reading but managed to battle through and Benitez is hoping he shakes off the knock.

Benitez has also denied that the side are becoming over reliant on the striker whose goal against Reading was his ninth in his last six games.

He told Daily Post: "We are not too reliant on Torres. People were asking why do you change, why do you rotate? You do it to try to keep the players fresh and clear of injury.

"So now when you have one week, or three or four days in this case, you can use the players.

"But you must be thinking about the next games and three games in six days or six games in 16 days, all of them with very high tempo and demanding a lot physically from the players. We need to think about each game.

"We have also Kuyt, Crouch and Voronin, three strikers who can score goals."

                ================================================== ==========

Didn't see the game, hope its nothing too serious.

                    This big

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.

"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

I would love it if El Nino bagged the winner at Old Toilet. It would really rub it in their faces. Shut those fools up who are still clinging to reasons why he isnt the best striker in the lague by saying that says he scores all his goals against teams in the bottom half of the table.

Think a win in this game, which IMO is overdue, could do wonders not only for this season but for many after.

Got a feeling Gerrard will have a big say in this game. It's about time he reminded the rest of the footballing world just how good he is.
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24
