I had this inane argument with an Arsenal fan today, about how "Liverpool have never won the Premiership"

I can however see how united fans could argue that hargreaves was the better player based on his all-round play, he poses slightly more goal threat, especially with his set pieces, is possibly quicker and is arguably just as composed.

only 16 starts this season all comps for a player they paid 18m for. 1 goal, same as masher. for all his supposed shooting ability all his shots end up in the stands. he doesn't cover as much ground as masher, can't tackle as well, and does not offer the same imposing presence that jefe does. he's injury prone as well. and his accent is truly terrible

Fair enough on the accent. like i say - id take mascherano every time and if they were honest so would utd fans, but despite what many people say i think hes a pretty good player that has been injured a fair bit this year. Ill always remember his performance against portugal after rooney had been sent off. On that evidence alone hes a player with some geniune quality.

I can see Lucas being the next Whelan. A player who keeps the game ticking and finding little passes here and there.

Not in terms of passing the ball i wouldnt, Molby was better than both of them.

he's capable of playing well but i haven't seen him play consistently well throughout his entire career. in terms of price and head to head comparison to masher he doesn't come close imo, masher is another level
