Is there a boycott on Talksport?

Question: is there a boycott on Talksport.

I know there was when Mackenzie was there, but 3 years ago the company that employed him as their chief exec were bought out and he was booted out of Talksport by the new guys.

Is there a boycott on Talksport despite the fact that they ****ed him off.

Someone just attacked me for appearing on a show to discuss AFC Liverpool.

If I've put my foot in it I'll hold my hands up on it, but I'm genuinely not aware that there is any boycott campaign anywhere against this radio station now that the slimebag has been booted out.

If there is can anyone show me the page for that where I can read up on why this boycott would exist given he's not at the station, and why The Mirror Group, Sky, and the BBC which have also employed him are ok.

Genuine question. I can't believe, knowing me, that I'd be unaware of an ongoing boycott. Can someone enlighten me if there is one and refer me to the pages detailing it?

I am not aware of any ongoing boycott, or at least official boycott.

I believe it's down to peoples perception, after all, did Share Liverpool not go on there for an interview etc... a few weeks back?.
On awaiting Everton's arrival for a derby game at Anfield, Bill Shankly gave a box of toilet rolls to the doorman and said: "Give them these when they arrive – they'll need them!"

I'm not aware of it either. I've never heard of this until someone had a pop at me over in the AFC Liverpool forum for doing a brief interview with them.

I was aware of it during his time as Chief Exec, but not since the company that had him there was bought out, and the new guys got rid.

Can others answer this please. I'm having to defend myself against the accusation that I've just scabbed on a Hillsborough related boycott (probably the worst accusation anyone could make on my integrity!), and I'm 99.99999% certain that this is bollocks.

      Can anyone shed any light?

I think you hit the nail on the head, where do you draw the line with the media? Should you boycott anything thing that slimeball has EVER been involved in? If so, there isn't much of the media left.

No, never anything official and nothing significant if unofficial since that prick left.

Probably just superfans trying to look hardcore, something you'll have to put up with sadly.

I'm not aware of any boycotting either, and from what i remember recently King Kenny was on there talking about the fundraising events for Marinas charity (I think it was the fun run before christmas) and Roy Evans has been a guest on there a few times, plus Carra phoned up the drive time show to have a go at Adrian Durham when he said Carra bottled it by quitting England squads.

If there was a Boycott of the station i'm sure none of these guys would even contemplate talking to them. Also i wouldn't listen myself if i knew of a boycott.

personally i only boycott talk****e when mike parry is on, which is unfortunately a lot of the time. adrian durham as well is a twunt but there are a few good things on and it is the only sports radio station with a few good shows like hawksbee and jacobs and regular appearences from ray houghton showing footbalers detachment from reality is nothing new, albeit i find it entertaining sometimes.

like others have said mckenzie has had his fingers in a lot of media pies and when he was at the s~n he was accountable to murdoch so are we to boycott all of his empire, would like to but is just not practical. for me the boycott is of the ****rag and if anyone else wishes to extend that it's fine by me but i dont agree with slamming people for other mediums.

isnt there only one boycott and that is the s*n.

Although i must admit i am pissed off that he is on the BBC soo much. and i wish Louise R had refused to appear on the same program as him (sport relief) oh and the irony of him being on sport relief.

But they called him Alun Evans first.

Haha! They've obviously been reading the forums then.

Just realised, if it all goes pear-shaped for Al there will be shouts of sack Parry h:
