    How bad is...

    ...Ray Houghton at commentating?

    I have just seen a few comments on Youtube about how Houghton disgraces our club with stupid comments but seriously, is this another Mark Lawrenson thing here or is it a bit OTT?

    (I personally think Lawro defends Liverpool quite a bit but not as blatantly as Jocky)

      I've never heard him slagging Liverpool off. I know that he does do a mad Irish/Scottish accent though!

      I know he's played for Ireland but he doesn't sound like it sometimes!

              Didn't he used to commentate/co-commentate for Channel 5?

                Negative and bitter and always points out the bad and not the good in the current side.
                Thinks every Liverpool team should play like the one he played in. Him and Ronnie Whelan are two knobheads when it comes to talking about us.

                Whatever legendry status they once had is all gone for me.
                RTE does that to people though as they can say what they want and the more stupid and contraversial the better. Souness has changed massively since Giles and Dunphy got hold of him too.

                Not one of the cunts on RTE will be tipping us to win today and when we do they will knock us.

                  Houghton is one of the worst commentators i've ever heard. As PP has pointed out, he never says anything positive or constructive and only points out the negatives during matches. He is a bitter knobhead when it comes to liverpool too.

                  If i met him on the street i'd cross the road.

                    I remember him giving Babel an awful slating on RTE earlier in the season, all the other knob jockeys like Dunphy agreed of course! i really hope Babel turns out to be the dogs balls to see what these 'pundits' say about him them!
                    Talking of pundits I read an article in the sports section of the Guardian yesterday by RUSSELL BRAND, what the **** is he writing about sports for? he would know more about a fish supper! He had the cheek to slag off Rafa for not playing Torres more often, saying that HE thinks Torres could have played at least 10 more games this season!

                        he was awful on you're on sky sports too. gives it the ol i was a player so i must be right argument when someone disagrees with him.
