Babel didn't do much because the ball kept on going out to the right where the pacey and skillfull Kuty danced around the Manu defence and put heatseeking balls through to the feet of Torres....

On the couple of occasions where he did get the ball he was the only player to pressurise them.

Kuyt. The only person (apart from Mascherano!) who seemed arsed. He kept working tirelessly as he always does. Reina made some decent saves in the second half, but his distribution was woeful and he made too many cock-ups in the first 45. That was embarrassing.
