    Redknapp ~ Andy Grey.

I have to say, I have lost ALL respect today, for Jamie Redknapp, for the way he was banging on about Mashers sending off!

    What an absolute ******!!!

I couldn't even bring myself to look at him during the Chelsea V Arse game.

I'd even go as far as to say I hate him now, for the way he was going on!

I have to say though, respect to Andy Gray, (never thought I'd ever say that).

He really went back at Redknapp, big-time, and you could really tell Redknapp was pissin him off.

Keys had to break up the argument, as it got VERY heated.

Still cant ever over the fact that an ex-Liverpool player could go on like that . It was a disgrace, and he should be ****in ashamed of himself!

Didn't see it but Redknapp is usually pretty fair and I know from reading this forum for a while now, any pundit who has a slight pop at LFC becomes a c*nt of the highest order, be they speaking the truth or not so I'll reserve judgement.

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

I don't know whats got into Redknapp. Whether he is trying to make some sort of name for himself I don't know but he was an idiot at half time.

I can't believe Andy Gray stuck up for us.
Twin boys - now arriving late August 2008.

Its gonna be Fernando and Gerrard if I get my way!

Redknapp is right. He was on a yellow, giving ****e the whole first half it was totally irresponsible for him to go near the ref and he let his teamates down even though he didn't seem to be swearing or anything...i don't understand why these players go near the ref anyway even if it is to speak with them. I have never seen a ref change his mind!
I'm normally not a praying man, but if you're up there, please save me Superman.

That's how I saw it, he was mouthing off at the ref continuously and deserved it for persisting.

The Torres yellow and Ferdinand's in the second half were ludicrous.

redknapp is just a media yes boy, trying to justify his place in the sky commentary team by digging at us to prove he is a neutral.

he put his carrer in sky at a much higher importance than being proud to be an ex-red.

he's just a ****ing turncoat tool that could'nt give 2 ****s about LFC

but i would, without hesitation, shag the arse off his missis, but only if she promised not to sing

The argument at half time was actually a good debate as both Redknapp and Andy Gray had decent points, if this wasnt a liverpool game so without emotion we would be able to see both points of view.

The way I see it Redknapp was playing devil's advocate to Grey who was obviously banging on about it in the studio from the time it happened.

The ref did nothing to diffuse the situation. He had no respect for Torres when Fernando asked him why he was getting no protection. Nando was kicked and jabbed and hacked everytime he touched the ball. The only problem was that it was consistently around the halfway line where this kind of thing tends to be overlooked (esp. if the said CBs are cunning about it). If you cannot ask the ref about this then we need to seriously look at how matches are officiated. Refs talk down to players, treat them like spoilt children (notwithstanding the fact the most are), and so the players (more than most) react accordingly.

This is not to excuse Mascherano for his manner, but he only asked a simple question. Look at it from his perspective - he sees Torres being firstly taken to ground then recovering his feet only to be taken down and kicked again. Nando asks the referee a question and gets a yellow card. Nobody else seemed to question the ref, so he did. The unfortunate thing is that English is his second language and his intonation (and frustration) may have lost something in translation, but the fact remains that we got 2 yellow cards issued from a situation where one of our players was fouled at least 3 times.

I though Javier was lucky to stay on the pitch after the first incident, and his cards have been marked since the Aliadiere incident, but there was no malice in his challenge of the referee and at the end of the day it came from bad refereeing and we got punished for an ego clash between Mascherano and Bennett, both of whom I think will regret the incident.

Get the feeling a lot of Gray's pontficating was aimed at trying to allay some of the bias claims levelled against him this week.

Biggest puzzle of the afternoon is what did Torres get booked for? He appeared to do or say ****-all.

he must have said something when he did the yapping sign with his right hand, thats when Bennett reacted.

Bennett wasn't even looking at him when he hand-yapped.
