Why is it free hunting time on Torres?

It's ridiculous to see what treatment he gets from the refs in game after game week in week out in the PL.

It's incredible that he hasn't got a bad injury yet but it will happen sooner or later if the refs let the players kick him around and nothing happens.

It's has gone beyond a joke now, it's disgusting to see every week.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

A Liverpool player not being protected by the officials. Shock horror

The refs are just a disgrace and have different rules for different teams. It's as simple as that.

      Agreed!

How many times did Carrick leave his leg in on Torres after tackling him. He may have got the ball a couple of times in the exchanges but he deliberately kept his foot in the air when Nando was on his way to the ground.

To quote Ferguson it was 'mature' play.

every fan of every team will say the same thing about their players....just 2 days ago everyone was ripping ferguson for demanding more protection for ronaldo.

i don't reckon players set out to kick torres off the pitch. IMO i think he's just too quick for some players and they mistime their tackles...same as for ronaldo, joe cole etc...

I agree fans see things in a certain light, but Torres' speed has nothing to do with elbows in kidneys which I saw him receive at least twice in the second half.

Also what does it say about Ferguson when he comes out and says what he did midweek and then sit and watch his players do exactly that to Torres for 90 minutes?

dont tell me you dont see our players do that to opposing teams!!

part and parcel of football these days....it's not a non-contact sport.

we cant ask referee's to give special treatment to the better players and to **** with the rest of the team.

This just reminds me of Fergie arse-kissing Ronaldo.
Sorry AFII but last time I looked it was still, just about, a contact sport.

Torres doesn't bitch about it, let's just leave it eh?

Ferguson is a hypocrite. His teams constantly kick/foul teams. Look at how they played against Arsenal last season. The man is a collossal prick.

He is a ****ing hyprocite. They kicked Reyes off the pitch last time I remember, Taggert doesn't remember that. ****ing prick. I really hate the cunt

People I hate most are: George Bush and Fergie in that order.

                      Eh?

I don't recall one post moaning about Torres treatment by refs during the course of the last several weeks when he was on his hot streak.

Why are threads like this popping up now?

Sorry, I don't think he gets particularly bad treatment from refs with regard to free kicks and challenges. If anything I think he gets more than his fair share. It used to be a game where you were allowed to tackle it used to be admired as a skill.

He is kicked to shreds every week, when he got booked today he was kicked and pushed at least 3/4 times.

this happens week in week out and the fact that he doesn't go down more often and play act Ronaldo style plays against him. Maybe Rafa should attack refereeing in this country like how Fergie and his bitch Queiroz did because since then they've had almost every decision go there way.
                          We come not to play.

Exactly, apparently Torres is out of Spains friendly with rib and ankle injuries after the kickings in the game. Mascher was probably upset at this treatment and was sent off for it. But in the end, this loss doesn't change a thing for us, Chelsea won anyway and Everton drew so we are still in fourth place and won't go third or second.
                            * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

He's not a bitch like Ronaldo so he wont have a cry after each game.
