I work in the media and this just doesn't add up. If you want to get this kind of story out you don't go around briefing all and sundry (that would be way too obvious). You pick one influential outlet and brief one or two journos from that. They run it and the story naturally spreads (meanwhile the risk that someone will give the game away is limited because you hardly told anyone directly).

As you, RafaShankly and I have demonstrated there are so many holes in Rashid's BS that you could drive a small universe through it.

It was briefed in England before the Spanish papers got it... this appeared last Monday... but in Spain on Wednesday.

I agree that extra money for transfers is fine, and the fans love him but he needs to stop playing on that and concentrate on managing the club.... he has spent more money than any other club in England this past 12 months... and more than United and Arsenal (NET) in his 4 years here.

It just gets a bit too much really.... he has scrapped with the blue ****e in 2 of his 4 seasons here, he needs to keep his head down a bit I feel.

As I said though, I want him given another year and it is make or break.

If he wants more money for transfers there are other ways to go about I feel... that's all.

It has nowt to do with SOS - the guy who said it is one of the admin.. and he does know people. But then it's been backed up by other more serious people. This Barca story has been fed by Rafa's men.. I trust the men who told me.

A lad who knows his stuff and is one of the main boys of Sons of Shankly has said that this has been leaked by Rafa and Quillon his agent. Another (DT) who recently interviewed Aggar for the Echo has said that Barrett has been briefed on this by Rafa's people. Basically Rafa is (again) playing mind games with the board to get a new contract/more money etc.

I think he is now beginning to take the piss and constantly destabilising the club.

For one, after this season and what has gone on, Rafa deserves an extension otherwise he will leave. Wouldn't blame him TBH, either we commit to his plans or he goes. Do not see why Rafa should be blamed for calling the false prophets out for what they are.
