I think we should be looking to pull their defence out of shape. That means forcing their centre-backs outside and their fullbacks inside.

I agree with this team, Aurelio has been playing well I think and the attackers in this line-up should be able get something out of the Everton defence. This is a game we need to win to relieve some pressure going into the Arsenal games. IF we win Everton I'd take progression in the CL before three points against them in the league.

Although we might see Carra at right back.

I remember it foxed Gollum for about 15 mins until he figured it out...

I'd expect Rafa to do something similar on Sunday.... shouldnt be too hard to outwit Gollum again

Pretty much what we are playing now, but with Kuyt up front beny on the left and vornin on the right.

Crouch in for Masher with Stevie alongside Xabi in CM.

Torres has just had the **** kicked out of him at OT because he was up against their defence on his own. Having Crouch around will take some of that attention away from him and will occupy their defence more - which is where their strength lies.

I quite like that team but feel it could become very right side biased. I think the basic philosophy has to be to keep the ball, move them about and not allow the likes of Lescott etc to get in the box and feed off long balls. As such I think I would put Kuyt right side as his movement is much more likely to constrain Lescott as Pennant always stays wide or is largely ineffective.

I would also be tempted to have Hyypia - Skrtel in the middle with Carra at right back. That is for me a much tighter decision though.

If you play pennant you've got to play crouch. I wouldnt play Babel upfront against lescott and jagielka. He doesnt have enough in his locker yet to suggest he is going to be able to give them a decent game.

I would play reina, carra, skrtel, hyypia, aurelio, gerrard, alonso, pennant and babel, crouch, torres.

Babel to come on to stretch the backline if we are winning with Torres coming off. The reason Aurelio would be because his crossing ability could be used to its full potential in a more advanced position.

I see the 442'ers are out in force. The question to me comes down to will we get enough out of Torres in the 442. To me that partnership has not worked and Torres has been on fire in the 4231, we are potentially sacraficing that. Lucas is good enough to come into the 4231.
