Who should start on Wednesday in the middle?

I think Lucas should start with Masch as Alonso is too slow and not comfortable when being rushed.
He needs more time in the ball to pick a pass now and panics and goes backwards.
Lucas was class yesterday.

I'd play Xabi/Mascherano and I'm 100% sure Rafa will too.

Agree mate. This in my opinion his worst performance in terms of ball retention - he constantly gave the ball away despite making a good start to the game. I thought Alonso played really well yesterday - his tackling was spot on.

lucas played well in the first half.. it all went downhill from there for the lad.. not saying i dont like him, because i love him to bits (but not in a gay way?!) but i just think hes too lightweight, at the moment!

I think Lucas has lots of promise but had an off day yesterday. Caught in possession too easily and showed a real lack of composure at times. Alonso all day long for me
