    Lil Luis

I was very surprised when he was not in the squad against the Chavs on the weekend based upon the trouble he causes whenever he is selected against them.

Tonight I listened to the game on 5 Live and watched the highlights on Sky, and from I heard, and saw, Luis played a blinder. Some of his skill is just phenominal, and tonight that control and shot was brilliant - incredibly unlucky not to score.

But he also created so many other chances, and did not appear to be wasteful in possession.

As enigmatic as he is, I think that having on the bench at the very least is pretty important, as he is one of the few players that can truelly turn a match in an instant!

    Well in lad

He was hungry tonight - completely different class to Pennant.

This hasn't always been the case though. Surely must start the next game though.

Can't wait till speedy kicks off as well.

would be good if we could have champions league sub numbers every game. every league game now i just feel like people are missing out.

ignoring injuries, 3 people would have missed out.

This type of game was perfect for Luis - at home against a poor defence and we had lots of posession. He was great tonight, but I wasn't surprised he didn't play at Stamford Bridge as he isn't as effective away from home when his flicks and tricks can infuriate.
Overall though I think he is a great little player and offers us something different.

Excellent performance from Luis tonight. How nice would it be if he could string six or seven displays like that back-to-back? It'll never happen, mind, but I wish he could.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Easily his best game for us in some time, dangerous and lively all night, well done Luis

I just love to see him running for the rebound. Everytime Liverpool player fires one and the keeper parries it, Garcia is there to turn it in! He just seems to be at the right place at the right time!

I thought he was superb tonight, a constant threat and his runs are as good as anyone in the game.

Xabi was back to his old brilliant self, he is a player with all the attributes to become a great of the game. What's the bet Lampturd tries a shot from the halfway line during the Chavs next game.

It's amazing that before Luis and Xabi arrived; our players in that position were Diouf and Diao.

THought Luis' first touch and control were superb last night.
Also - his movement coming in off the line was top notch. Great effort that hit the post as well.
                          Well done Luis.

His first touch before hitting the woodwork was sublime...also did well to get a good shot in from the corner. His movement was exceptional and he really looked sharp. Well in King Luis!
