Don't shout at me but a while back someone compared him to Beardsley.

Look back at old vids and you can't help but compare him to Beardo. Both tricky, eye for a pass, score important goals and give the ball away a lot. While Luis isn't as strong as Peter he also has his attitude.

One of the biggest differences is the team in which the play and the league they play in. Back in the 80s there was more space to play in and you weren’t punished so harshly for loosing the ball. Beardsley had a more settled team around him and people like McMahon and Whelan could cover for him by tackling, shall we say, robustly. Garcia looks better when playing off a forward for lots of reasons, not least of which is there are more players around him to cover when he looses the ball. With Momo and Alonso behind him and Gerrard making runs past and around him on the right, that solidity is there and the team has time to adjust, time which was naturally there when Peter played at his best.

Also Peter threaded balls through to a forward line that made better runs than those we’ve seen for the last two years. Now there is some pace and power up there Garcia will look better because his sharp passes have quicker thinking players and his thread passes have people running on to them with sufficient speed to beat a defender.

Now I’m not saying Garcia will ever be thought of as the legend Peter was, but if we could forgive (and forget) Peters tricks and flicks that went amiss, perhaps Luis deserves the same latitude and respect.

            Here endeth the sermon.

              Not a bad comparison that
Also good point that he will shine more with better attacking players around him, and now with more Prem experience this year could be his best so far for us

Don't see why not, he played a major role in winning us number 5. He will also play a big role in us winning number 19 this season.

Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
