    Alonso betting

I read in one of the papers pre-season that certain bookies were offering odds on him scoring from his own half this season, ala Luton Town. I remember him having a pop at Old Scumford in his first season, shame that didn't go in

Any ideas what the odds were?

I wonder if that bloke who backed him last time backed him again?
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

It was a bet I have been meaning to place.
I still think its a good bet before the season ends, although im thinking the bookies will tighten the odds a bit. Alonso is always looking to have a go from his own half.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

      * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Until the end of the season:
Liverpool to win the match 2.4
Alonso to score from his own half 1.85

i seem to remember hearing that bloke (who won) on the radio, he was annoyed at the odds they were offering - down to ~20/1 i think (probs way off) but he was still going to back it
