Mascherano - Extra two game ban

Yes, it has.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostNot since the Cole incident there hasn't.
Ronaldo for example did his usual protest, not mouthing off, with waiving his arms in the air.
Many, many players have asked the question why? without being booked and if Masch was booked for that then everyone in every game should be booked for that.
That hasn't happened.
So it's comes down as usual to what you call mouthing off at the ref.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Mascherano was sent off due to his continuous complaining. He was clearly seen on TV saying **** Off to the ref on at least Three seperate occasions. He had already receieved a yellow for a bad challenge, and the second yellow was a combination.Originally posted by AFII View PostYes, it has.

The extra two game ban was for refusing to leave the pitch when instructed to do so. He literally had to be dragged of the pitch.Forwards.......

I know that he got the two games extra ban because of that and it's called bringing the game into disrepute.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostMascherano was sent off due to his continuous complaining. The FA can charge players for that even if the ref don't mention it in his report and that is also why the FA should have charged Cole, Lampard and Terry.
They are allowed to use video evidence for that.Just believe and you never know what will happen.

****ing despicable decision. Purely cosmetic, you can bet as respect for refs goes they will change **** all, the scum and chavs will be up to their tricks regularly again when this little initiative blows over. Hore**** spineless FA bow to what the papers say instead of doing what is right.Like blood on iron

Doing what is right? Ah, you mean not banning a player for spitting out his dummy and refusing to leave the pitch, yeah, that'll teach them. That's what the ban is for. And well deserved too.Originally posted by Red_Polo View Post****ing despicable decision. ****s sake, Mascher didn't deserve his second yellow card for questioning a decision (although he should have got one earlier for consistent swearing and abuse of the officials) but once he got it, he should have left the pitch. The manager knows he was wrong, the player knows he was wrong...Red Polo thinks he was right, and did nothing wrong in refusing to leave the pitch?
I know some folk on here like to be seen as controversial, but some times there is a thin line between controversial and retarded.

Just a quick extract from the Daily Mail Story
It's a fair Kop, says Javier, I deserve to be banned

Javier Mascherano has issued a public apology for his dissent towards referee Steve Bennett and indicated a willingness to accept the extended two-match ban and £15,000 fine dished out on Thursday by the FA.
Though Liverpool may yet appeal against the extent of his additional punishment, the Argentina midfielder was full of remorse as he reflected on his hearing before a disciplinary panel, acknowledging that he had been in the wrong.

Ah go on, a lively debate full of mudslinging and aimless insults is what this place needs. Ever since the powers that be got rid of DJS, this place has been to bloody humdrum.Originally posted by Red_Polo View PostNot going to dignify that with a response, I'm into sensible discussion not aimlessly slinging ****.
