10 million bid would do nicely i think. with the system we deploy nowadays arteta would thrive in it. he is faster than alonso ...passes as accurate or even better ...and definitely a better dead ball specialist .with alonso likely to move i think this would be the perfect sigining....

Arteta's a good player but he ain't half overrated.
Xabi is a better player for me. Real Sociedad fans would say the same - they brought in Arteta to replace Xabi and bombed him out in no time because he was ****.

theres only one class player at everton and thats arteta...he might have not have delivered at real sociedad...but definitely is doing the job in the premiership. As for xabi i honestly think he has regressed ...for a long period of time he has shown that he hasnt been the player he once was.Comment

Alonso may have had a terrible season by his own high standards but he was out with a broken foot and since recovering hasn't played week in week out with a consistent midfield lineup, and we're now playing a different formation to what he was used to, so it's understandable that he's struggled.
Give the man a break. On his day, we haven't had a better passer since Molby.
I'd take Arteta too if he was available. Everton's best player by far.Comment
