    Bellamy

I don't think we're using him to his full potential.

I believe that we'd get more out of him if we got the ball to him earlier, in front of the defence, so he can run at/go past defenders.
At the moment - the 'first' ball up front tends to go to Dirk - who looks for the flick on for Bellamy to chase; but invariably this doesn't work.

We all know Bellamy is quick - but when he recieves the ball so far up the pitch (like he often did last night) there isn't much room left to exploit his pace, and he's quite easily contained. The one time he did have space to run into - he sped away from the defence and dinked the ball over the keeper - but it went wide (should have scored). The defenders never looked like getting back at him - because he was using his pace in the right place and had plenty of space to run into.

    Just my thoughts....

He'll come good - it really is only a matter of time - if he could just grab one then he'll grow in confidence - the rest of his game is promising

before he joined liverpool, I just had him down as a player with not much quality but loads of pace. His goal record has always been ****e. not seen anything to change my opinion yet

I think Bellamy is a very good player who gives the team an added dimension i.e pace and guile. To be honest if bellamy chipped in between 10 and 15 goals this season I'd be happy. I think he is capable of that as are Kuyt, Crouch and Fowler. That could be between 40 - 60 goals this season which is a good return considering the amount of games they will play. Add to that the goals that Gerrard and the rest of the midfield will contribute. I am in a very optimistic mood today. I even predicted we would score 4 tommorow so nobody burst my bubble alrite?

Agreed. In no way is he of the calibre that liverpool require. and he's a cock. I think/hope he'll be gone by this time next year.

Good player, pacey, annoys the opposition, adds something different to the team.....offers good "possibilities"

Give him time to settle peeps.

Think of it like your job....when you first joined you were nervous, you didn't know what to expect, didn't know the work, didn't know the people / team mates (or area if you moved). There is no way you can perform at 100% from day one....be patient, all he needs is a goal to get his confidence up....he is a good player.

a very good way at looking at it. He and Kuyt do need to work up an understanding, but when they do it could be awesome for us.

Absolutely.... Bellamy is a genuine difference maker in the premiership, both Newcastle and Blackburn genuinely overperformed when he played for them. His finsihing is occasionally lacking and as a consequence he doesn't score quite as many as he could, but he's a nightmare for defenders and will come good.
