that was a very, very good half. Soaked up a fair bit of pressure for a spell and we deserve our lead. Plessis had looked good.

Crouch has been fantastic. The man has to stay and sign a new contract. You're not going to get a better alternative for Torres in the market.

Plessis is class, the kid's going to make it. He's as calm as the ocean and he's a very neat passer of the ball, superb debut. Benayoun and Lucas have been pretty good, Skrtel is a monster and so is Carra today.

Really pleased with this half.

well deserved lead going into 2nd half, I do hope we don't just sit back now and invite them onto us. Maybe Crouchie will get another hatrick... but we should continue in the same vein 2nd half and do em good and proper like.

Arsenal don't look like a team playing for the Championship today.

I think they must have thought it would be easy game with so many changes in the Liverpool team, but they quite wrong. They just haven't turned up.

I expect Wenger to wind them up for the second half and send on Adebayor.

A surprisingly good game to watch. Both teams playing some nice stuff.
We have looked pretty good and as everyone else has said a number of players have really shone.

Besides the plaudits being given to Crouch and Plessis, Lucas has also been outstanding. If we carry on like this in the second half it will certainly be a huge confidence booster for some players and Rafa will have alot to think about before Tuesday.

Crocuh must have definitely played his way into Rafa's thoughts for mid week and the rest of the season.

Apart from the fact that Riise is terrible and that we played a few too many long balls for my liking I'm very happy with that half, we could've scored another but they had some chances too so i'll take this.

Plessis did make one or two stray passes but in general I'm pretty impressed with him. I reckon he could be good backup of Masch.
