Crouch did well I think the people critisising him are being harsh, admittedly he's not as good as Torres, but not many people are. Good performance from him today did everything asked of him

I thought Rafa was clever in bringing Gerrard and Torres on towards the end of the game, made Toure and Gallas work a lot harder at the end of the game rather than just trying to cruise it without to much pressure also thought the young lad Plessis had a very very promising debut, looked controlled & composed throughout the game.

I thought that mate. Bring on some pace and tire them out even more. Did you see that Fabregas pass near the end when he just wafted at it and noone moved? Now it looks like they can't win the league they could be really motivated for tuesday but I think the opposite will happen, make them self concious.

Plessis was unspectacular but a good, accurate passer and got stuck in. Fair play to the lad.

we could have won today, as for those think he isn't liverpool standard, well as a striker he's better than kuyt and voronin put together. crouch and torres would make an explosive partnership, shame we'll never see it given time to flourish

From what I have seen of them play together I wasn't impressed. Torres needs someone dynamic beside him. SG fits the bill at the moment. Crouch is too static sometimes. I think he is a great squad player to have but his ego has taken control and he thnks he deserves a guaranteed 1st team place.

How come on Wednesday Gray was comparing Skrtel to Vidic and saying how good he was and today the commentators were digging at him a bit.

Decent result considering the team we put out and our form against them in London however we should have won it with poor finishing letting us down.

Plessis was excellent. He should take over Alonso. Skrtel was great too.

Voronin, Riise and Pennant aren't good for us.

I actually reckon that against arsenal, crouch always seems to play well. If i were rafa, then i would be tempted to play him again on tuesday night. Gallas and toure always seem to strugle against strikers that are good in the air (drogba, davies) and seeming that arsenal will need to attack us as they need to score, then crouch could be a great counter-attack outlet to have in the team. If arsenal do score first, then i am not so sure that crouch would be as effective as arsenal can either play him offside or else just force him to drop too deep where he would seem less effective.....

That will do me. Great result considering we had the second string out. We need to work on defending corners and free kicks as that is twice they have scored against us like that now. I think Arsenal are done for the season now. We will defo score at Anfield on tuesday and the crowd will see us through.

After two Games away now i feel that there is nothing special about Arsenal and we will kill them off next week.

Plessis impressed me alot and i hope he gets more games next season. Was cool on the ball and unlike Momo can pass the ball and control it. Very Cleaver from Rafa brining on Torres and Steve towards the end just to tire out their back 4 a bit.

Voro should have won the game for us and is possible one of the worst players to play for Rafa. I belive he was bought as a stop gap for this season as we spent all our money on torres, however this summer i can see us buying another 20m striker to partner torres.

JAR was quite poor and will be gone to Newcastle in the summer and i just wonder if a swap deal for Owen will be on the cards. I am not a was never a big Owen fan, However i am sure Newcastle will be trying to offload him in the summer and possibly use him for JAR or Crouch.

Carson is gone as he will never displace Reina

We just need to get rid of a few players but you can see Rafa's team slowly coming to life and next season if we have a good summer will see us play like his Valencia team.

If the off field **** had not have happened i think we would have been top of the league as this season no one team has run away with it.

However today was massive as it give us a boost and Arsenal have just drew against our second string team who were the equal to them.

Good game to watch all round and i cannot wait for Agger to return as the partnership between him and Skertl will be superb.

I think the reason why we were good today was the fact that alot ofthose players had something to prove.

Pennant lost us the 3 points there by taking the lazy option when he did not need to, however Voro should have won it for us as if that was torres on the ball we would have been 2-1 up.

It's not even just the hoof option. They are vulnerable to crosses too - all 4 goals we put past them at Anfield last season were thanks to crosses or balls from wide areas and Evra caused them all sorts of problems earlier this season when Utd drew with them at the Emirates.
